Irish Water Safety -
Waterford Surf Life Saving Club comes under the umbrella of Irish Water Safety and works with Waterford Water Safety to promote the Water Safety message. With an average of up to 14 people drowning every month in Irish waters, we want to help everyone to wise up to Water Safety. Lifeguards could be your lifeline in an emergency, so make sure you and your family swims at a life guarded beach.
Irish Water Safety is the statutory body established to promote water safety in Ireland. Our role is to educate people in water safety best practices. IWS aims to develop public awareness campaigns to promote necessary attitudes, rescue skills and behaviour to prevent drowning and water related accidents.
